Hack The Box is an online platform that allows its users to test, train and enhance their penetration testing skills as well as to exchange ideas and methodologies with other members of similar interests. Hack The Box platform provides a wealth of challenges - in the form of virtual machines - simulating real-world security issues and vulnerabilities, that are constantly refreshed, provided and updated by the community. Some of them simulating real-world scenarios and some of them leaning more towards a CTF style of challenge.

Hack The Box innovates by constantly providing fresh and curated hacking challenges, into a fully gamified, immersive and intuitive environment. The platform brings together security researchers, pen-testers, infosec professionals, academia and students, making it the social network for ethical hackers and infosec enthusiasts, counting 270k members and growing dynamically.

In order to become a member, a user has to solve an initial security challenge called “Hack the invite code”. By employing several social and gamification elements Hack The Box makes the learning experience fun and rewarding. Moreover, HTB users are able to opt-in and apply for security-related job openings. Most positions are rank-restricted; so our users must prove their ability on our active machines before being able to apply.

Hack The Box is a UK incorporated company and maintains also an office in Athens, Greece. We are nationally recognized as winners of UK’s Most Innovative Cyber Security SME 2019 and have seen exponential growth in the past year with over 10k registered users on a monthly basis closing in on 270k registered members on our platform. Having recently secured our seed round $1.3m funding, we are on a mission to become the world's largest hacker community.
