Basic Information

On behalf of our client, a startup IT company specializing in the domain of cybersecurity, we are looking for a resourceful and passionate Scrum Master.

The candidate will lead our development teams in embracing and implementing Scrum practices, fostering collaboration, and delivering high-quality software solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a servant leader, facilitating and coaching the development teams to adopt and adhere to Scrum principles, values, and practices.
  • Guide and mentor multiple Scrum teams in planning, estimating, and executing software development projects, ensuring adherence to agile methodologies.
  • Foster a collaborative and self-organizing environment that empowers teams to continuously improve and deliver value to our customers.
  • Facilitate Scrum events such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives, ensuring effective communication, collaboration, and transparency.
  • Identify and resolve impediments that could hinder the progress of the teams, removing any obstacles and promoting a sense of urgency and accountability.
  • Collaborate closely with Product Owners and other stakeholders to ensure the product backlog is well-groomed, prioritized, and refined, promoting a clear understanding of the desired outcomes.
  • Encourage a culture of continuous improvement, knowledge sharing, and experimentation, fostering an environment where teams feel safe to take risks and learn from failures.
  • Monitor and report on key metrics, such as team velocity, sprint burndown, and release forecasting, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging agile frameworks, advocating for their adoption when beneficial to the organization.
  • Collaborate with other Scrum Masters and Agile Coaches to foster cross-team collaboration, share learnings, and drive consistency in agile practices across the organization.

Basic Requirements

  • At least 3 years of working experience in Agile Software Development, as a Scrum Master, Project Manager or Developer.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Deep understanding of agile methodologies, frameworks, and principles (e.g., Scrum, Kanban, Lean), with a track record of applying them effectively to deliver value.
  • Strong facilitation and coaching skills, with the ability to foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building strong relationships and influencing stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and resolve complex problems and conflicts, promoting a solutions-oriented mindset.
  • Proficient in using agile project management tools and software development practices.
  • Continuous learner with a growth mindset, passionate about staying updated on industry trends and emerging agile practices.
