ELPEN has been engaged in the production of Greek pharmaceuticals since 1965. Its top priority is research, to which it dedicates more than 10% of its annual turnover.
For the period 2020-2025, ELPEN is implementing an investment program totaling 125 million euros. In the production sector, their investments focus on modernizing their existing production facilities in Pikermi and establishing a new pharmaceutical manufacturing plant in Keratea. In the research and development sector, the company is investing in the creation of an Innovation and Biotechnology Park, Athens LifeTech Park, which will concentrate on innovation, research, and education.
ELPEN has consistently invested in its human resources. Currently, their staff exceeds 1,450 individuals at the group level, and their new investments will create 800 new job positions, particularly for highly specialized employees. Their overall impact on employment is estimated to be more than 5,000 job positions.
