Responsibilities

  • Gathering and analysis of technical requirements
  • Conception of data models in Tableau
  • Implementing new applications in Tableau
  • Refactoring of Tableau prototypes
  • Making changes and adjustments to existing analyses
  • Quality assurance and performance optimization of existing Tableau applications
  • Reviewing and improving current applications to enable them to comply with Best Design Practices of Data Visualization
  • Understanding the business questions to the full extent and Ability to come up with the right visualization choices in order to deliver the correct insights
  • General knowledge of basic Tableau server administration tasks such as user creation, administration of project folders and data sources and knowing how to set permissions for the projects, workbooks, and single views on the Tableau server
  • Following new features closely and nominating possible applications that can be improved accordingly
  • Implementing methods to maintain different layers of data security in Tableau
  • Coordinating with Tableau Admin Team for Production Deployment
  • Close communication and collaboration with the respective business departments

Basic Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience with Tableau or another BI Tool
  • A solid understanding of SQL, Data Warehousing, Relational Databases, and Normalization
  • A university degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, and Business Administration with an IT focus or in a comparable course of study
  • Proficiency in use of query and reporting analysis tools
  • Extensive knowledge in developing, maintaining, and managing Tableau driven dashboards & analytics and working knowledge of Tableau administration/architecture
  • Very good analytical skills and a strong technical understanding
  • Excellent social and communication skills
  • Excellent English skills (spoken & written)

Good to have

  • Knowledge of Python and JavaScript
  • Previous working experience in the automotive industry
  • Good German skills
