We are searching for a Junior IT Support Engineer to join our team in Thessaloniki!

Responsibilities

You will be working within the IT Operations team, to ensure employees and systems across all physical and remote sites can work effectively, by maintaining the existing hardware infrastructure (networking, servers, phone system, computers, laptops, mobile devices) and identifying issues and areas for improvement.

More specifically, you will:

  • Resolve IT Support Requests against agreed Objectives, KPIs and SLAs.
  • Escalate Advanced Cases.
  • Maintain Service Records and Documentation.
  • Provide hands-on or remote support across all Apifon employees or systems.
  • Interact with external suppliers to improve efficiencies and services.
  • Keep confidential all client and company proprietary information.
  • Report any identified non-conformities related to Apifon Platform and services provided.
  • Report information security events and vulnerabilities to the Information Security Officer.

Basic Requirements

You need to have:

Hard Skills

  • 1-2 years of relevant experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computing or relevant field.
  • Proficient in technology, especially Office 365 applications.
  • Windows (Server 2016, Windows 10) or Linux Orientation.
  • Familiarity with either Networking, Operating Systems or Databases.
  • Knowledge of handling general office equipment.

Soft Skills

  • Strong desire to learn and grow.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • High self-initiative with the ability to work well under pressure.

Good to have

The following will be considered as a plus:

  • Some scripting experience bash, python
  • Some experience with virtualized environments, Azure or AWS Cloud Providers.
  • Knowledge in containerization technologies (i.e., Docker).
  • Knowledge in Jira, Ansible or/and Terraform.
