Basic Information

Aksia is seeking a motivated.NET developer to join an existing agile team building and maintaining cloud-based
applications used by a global user base. Our Information Technology team is responsible for maintaining the firm’s global technology infrastructure and developing Aksia’s internal and client-facing research platforms. The position requires knowledge designing modern n-tier applications using enterprise level standards and object-oriented design patterns.

This position is based in Aksia’s Athens office and will include regular interaction with global colleagues.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with an agile team to design, develop, and maintain cloud-based applications
  • Utilize expertise in designing modern n-tier applications, adhering to industry best practices using enterprise level standards and object-oriented design patterns
  • Communicating development progress with the firm’s internal and external stakeholders

Basic Requirements

  • 3+ years of C# experience (using either Framework or Core) including working knowledge of advanced language features including lambda expressions, anonymous types, etc.
  • 2+ years SQL Server experience – creating simple queries, views, and stored procedures with basic understanding of query optimization
  • 3+ years creating applications using object-oriented programming techniques (in any language)
  • Working experience using common server-side programming patterns and best practices applicable to designing adaptable systems
  • Fluent in English (both written and oral)

Good to have

  • Experience with non-relation databases (NoSQL, graph, etc.) a plus
  • 1+ year(s) developing user interfaces using JavaScript (including frameworks), CSS, and HTML 5
  • Experience with DevExpress Reporting suite a plus
