Basic Information

On behalf of our client, one of the largest Retail Companies with a leading position in the domestic and international market, we are looking for a professional to cover the position of the Technical Support Specialist.

This Retail Multinational Company operates a family of businesses, selling high-quality, great-value own-brand products.

The purpose of the position is to manage and maintain network services and resources, support the local POS solution (system and users), and support day-to-day business operations and users.

Responsibilities

  • Management of network users, groups, and computers over a Microsoft-based infrastructure
  • Configuration of workstations
  • Configuration and maintenance of daily system back-up “jobs”
  • Software configuration updates and upgrades
  • Support and maintenance of Till Points and back-office applications
  • Provide end users with technical support and training on premise (SO and Stores) and remotely
  • Troubleshoot computer hardware or software problems and provide solutions
  • Purchase software, hardware, and other IT supplies by contacting vendors
  • Actively participate in new solution design and implementation
  • Actively participate in corporate projects both local and international
  • Good working knowledge of the IT delivery methods, approaches, and standards
  • Liaises with 3rd party technical suppliers to evaluate products and services and ensure compatibility with the company’s systems

Basic Requirements

  • B.Sc. in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • At least 2 years of experience in similar positions 
  • Excellent knowledge of Greek and English language
  • Experience working with Active Directory Services
  • Experience in MS Windows-based networks
  • Experience in the retail industry mainly focused on store operations
  • Travel flexibility (ad hoc needs)
  • Self-motivation, initiative, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong Customer-oriented mindset
  • Planning and organizational skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills 

Good to have

  • Knowledge and prior experience in EBS (Entersoft Business Suite)
  • Working experience in a multinational environment
